Luz Canta Men is a newly formed male choir, building a vibrant 3-part vocal ensemble. We combine solid vocal technique with rich harmony and a strong sense of community.

What We Sing

From Bach and Mozart to musicals, jazz, and pop — our repertoire spans classical and contemporary genres. We also collaborate with the Luz Canta Women’s Choir for powerful 4-part performances in multiple languages.

Our Choir Culture

  • No sight-reading required — study materials provided
  • Personal practice between rehearsals encouraged

Rehearsals

Mondays | 5:00 – 6:00 PM
Extended to 6:45 PM when rehearsing with the women’s choir
Clube Luzense  R. Direita 11 1, 8600-160 Luz

Concerts & Choir Day

  • 3 concerts per year – each term ends with a performance (usually at Igreja Nossa Senhora da Luz)
  • All concerts support local charities – we’ve raised funds for CASLAS and Algarve Families in Need
  • Choir Day each term: a focused but fun day of rehearsal before concert week (attendance encouraged)
